We are looking for creative, imaginative and innovative designs for tile ranges to be manufactured by industry leaders British Ceramic Tile Ltd. Finalists' designs will be displayed at The Tile & Stone Show 2008, with the top 3 manufactured into tile ranges. The winning designs will be judged by an independent panel at The Tile & Stone Show 2008. The finalists will be invited to attend The Tile & Stone Show, with travel and lunch provided.

To enter, you will need to submit 2 tile designs. The designs should be commercially viable and suit an upmarket bathroom. You might like to take a look at the ranges British Ceramic Tile currently manufacture to give you an idea of current trends by visiting their website: www.britishceramictile.com

The 2 tiles should be 198mm x 248mm and should comprise of both a field and a feature tile.

It's totally up to you whether your tiles work together in a complementary or contrasting way, and you can use any package to create your design.
You can submit your ideas to us on paper or electronic format.

Ceramic tiles are a vital part of today's home interior and the market continues to grow year on year. British Ceramic Tile is interested in raising the awareness of this important area to young Designers and are therefore offering an opportunity to become involved in this exciting and competitive industry.






The field tile is a more basic tile (see 1.1), while the feature tile is where your design skill should shine (see 1.2) - it can include special effects, raised prints, metallic or lustre etc!

With your entry you need to submit in a covering letter or email your name, address, email and telephone number so we can get in touch. Please also include a brief summary of the inspiration behind your design, as well as the name and address of the further or higher education establishment that you are studying at.
